Apple iPhone and iPad – Sending & Receiving Wrap up Web Mailbox Emails

Add a NEW Mail Account

iPhone

Settings/Mail/Add Account…/Select ‘Other’/Add Mail Account

iPad

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Click ‘Add Account’ then select ‘Other’

 

Change/Edit an existing Mail account

iPhone

Settings/Mail/Accounts/Select Account/ – Your IMAP and POP accounts will be listed here

Select the Account you wish to make changes to

 

NEW Account Setup (iPhone and iPad)

NameEmail and Description can all be your mailbox email address

e.g. name@yourdomainname.co.uk

Type your email address first into the ‘Name’ box then copy and paste it into the ‘Email’ box. When you click in the ‘Description’ box a description will auto populate, delete this description and paste in the email address again.

The ‘Password’ will your mailbox password

Press ‘Next’

At the next screen select the IMAP or POP box (Ideally you should be using IMAP) See here for an explanation of each.

 

IMAP ACCOUNT SETTINGS (Recommended)

Settings/Mail/Accounts/Select IMAP account/Press ‘Account’/

 

IMAP ACCOUNT INFORMATION

Name: Your Email Address

Email: Your Email Address

Description: Your Email Address

 

IMAP INCOMING Mail Server

Host Name: imap.stackmail.com

Username: Your Email Address

Password Your Password

 

Advanced

INCOMING SETTINGS

Use SSL: Enabled

Authentication: Password

Server Port: 993

Click ‘>Account’ to return to previous screen

 

IMAP SMTP Outgoing Mail Server

Click ‘SMTP’ under heading ‘OUTGOING MAIL SERVER’

Select or Add Primary Server

Although it says ‘Optional’ in username & password you must complete these fields so you can send using your Mail Account

Host Name: smtp.stackmail.com

Username: Your Email Address

Password Your Password

 

Advanced

Use SSL: Enabled

Authentication: Password

Server Port: 587

  • Press ‘Next’ or ‘Done’
  • Click ‘>Account’ or ‘Done’ to return to previous screen
  • Press Save

 

POP ACCOUNT SETTINGS

Please Note: Wrap up Web recommend the use of IMAP rather than POP so emails can be synced across multiple devices. The settings below are provided for reference.


POP Incoming Mail Server

Type in the ‘Host Name’ pop3.stackmail.com

Type in the ‘Username’ your email address

Type in the ‘Password’ your password

Advanced

Use SSL: Enabled

Authentication: Password

Server Port: 995

 

POP SMTP Outgoing Mail Server

Although it says ‘Optional’ in username & password please complete these fields

Type in the ‘Host Name’ smtp.stackmail.com

Type in the ‘Username’ your email address

Type in the ‘Password’ your password

Advanced

Use SSL: Enabled

Authentication: Password

Server Port: 587

 

Test Sending & Receiving

To Send and Receive emails open the iPhone ‘Mail’ application and select the mailbox you require. Note that if you only have one mailbox you will not be required to select from a list of mailboxes.

Please test by sending a test from your phone and sending a test email to your mailbox to ensure your phone is picking it up.

 

Verification taking time

Please note that Verification can take a few minutes in some cases

During verification you may get a certificate warning message. Please select ‘Continue’ at this prompt.

If Verification goes into a loop and does not stop, restart your device to stop this.

Wrap up Web Email Mailbox Setup & Configuration

The settings below can be applied to any Email application you wish to use to pick up your Wrap up Web Email Mailbox.

Specific instructions are provided for most common email applications such as Android Phone, Apple Mac Mail, iPhone/iPad, Microsoft Outlook, Gmail and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Let’s use a made up Email Mailbox account to demonstrate

Domain name: mybusiness.co.uk

Email Mailbox Username: customer@mybusiness.co.uk

Email Mailbox Password: 12345

 

IMPORTANT: To be able to both send(Outgoing Server) AND receive(Incoming Server) emails, don’t forget to configure both the Incoming and Outgoing server settings.
