It is critical any images uploaded to your website are not too large as large images will slow down your website and are not required for most Laptop, Tablet and Mobile Phone use today anyway
Image Resizer for Windows is a handy Windows app that allows you to resize multiple images in Windows Explorer before submitting those images to your website.
- Run and install Image Resizer for Windows(a restart maybe required)
- Open Windows Explorer to see your images
- Select the image/s you want to resize. You can select multiple images if you wish
- Right Click over the selection
- Select ‘Resize Pictures’ and wait for a pop up. Be patient it may take a few seconds.
- We suggest selecting ‘Medium’ for website use
- All images whether landscape or portrait will be resized accordingly
- Tick ‘Replace the originals’ only if you do not wish to keep the originals, otherwise leave this unticked and a duplicate resized image with be created.
- Press the ‘Resize’ button
