If you wish to migrate(copy) a WordPress website to a Wrap up Web Hosting Package please follow these instructions.
In order to complete the migration you will need to firstly contact Wrap up Web who will unlock FTP access to your Hosting Package for a period of 24 hrs only to allow the migration to go ahead.
Wrap up Web will also supply you with the following credentials to complete the process.
A – Destination Site URL
B – FTP Username
C – FTP Password
D – Directory Path
- Login to the WordPress website you wish to migrate as an administrator
- Install and activate the Plugin Migrate Guru
- Click ‘Migrate Guru’ in the dashboard menu
- Enter an email address (this will inform you the Migration has started and successfully completed)
- Tick the ‘I Agree’ box
- Click the ‘Migrate’ button
- Select ‘Other Hosts’
- Click the ‘Manually Input Host Details’ link
- Enter ‘Destination Site URL’ (A. as provided by Wrap up Web)
- Enter ‘Destination Server’ ftp.gb.stackcp.com
- Enter ‘FTP Username’ (B. as provided by Wrap up Web)
- Enter ‘FTP Password’ (C. as provided by Wrap up Web)
- Enter ‘Directory Path’ (D. as provided by Wrap up Web)
- Click the ‘Migrate’ button
The migration will now begin and will take anything from a few minutes to a few hours depending on the size of your website.
When successful you will be given a link to the Destination website and you will receive an email confirming completion.
