Browsers by default ‘remember’ sites you have visited to speed them up the next time you visit them. It is called ‘local storage’ or ‘Cache’
However, if for example, you make a change to content in WP admin or update content using Elementor, those changes/updates are sometimes not reflected in the front end, even though you have refreshed the page.
This is because your own Browser is ‘remembering’ the previous pages so displays the remembered (stored) content.
To anyone else who has not visited that page before the content will be updated.
Follow the instructions below to clear your own Browser cache
Chrome Browser
Ensure you have the very latest version of Chrome installed
- Click the 3 Dots top right
- Click ‘Help’
- Click ‘About Chrome’
- Chrome will check for latest version
- Click update if prompted
Clear Google Chrome Cached Images and Files
- Click the 3 Dots top right
- Click ‘History’ then ‘History’ again
- Click ‘Clear browsing data’
- Next to “Time range,” select how much history you want to delete. To clear everything, select ‘All time’
- UNTICK everything except ‘Cached Images and Files’
- If you tick ‘Browsing history’ ‘Download history’ or ‘Cookies and other site data’ this will delete this data but if you wish to complete this action then go ahead but ticking these items is not required to clear the cache.
- WARNING Ticking ‘Passwords and other sign-in data’ will result in saved passwords being deleted and you being signed out of everything.
- To clear your browser cache you should ideally only have ‘Cached Images and Files’ ticked.
- Tap Clear data.
- Refresh the page affected

Mac OS Safari
Ensure you have the very latest version of Safari installed
System Preferences/Software Update/ Click ‘Upgrade Now’ if it appears
Clear Safari Cache
- Select from the menu safari/preferences/privacy/advanced/tick ‘show Develop menu bar’
- Close all open safari windows
- Select from the menu develop/empty caches
- Open a new window and try again
